But for a reason!
Those of us who are using computers are a pretty rare breed. Only .00001 percent of Seniors (or approximately 1 in a million) over 65 use computers.
I just made that number up, but it sounds about right. I learned to do that from our friends on the left, who make up numbers like that all the time and nobody questions them....so why not.
Anyway, this leads me into the following story:
It's a good story...that's been going around the internet for quite some time....and it certainly got my attention....because this prediction they say was made in 1954.
According to the story, scientists from the RAND CORPORATION built a model of what they predicted a home computer would look like in 2004.
The story goes on to say that this picture was published in POPULAR MECHANICS magazine in 1954
.

Great story, huh?
Unfortunately, though, it's totally BOGUS! There's not a word of truth in it!
Here is the explanation from www.snopes.com
(then type in 1954 computer........and then click on the explanation of the Rand computer story.
Bookmark that address, snopes.com and check out anything you see on the internet that you have any doubts about.
There's not a file in my brain earmarked for people who make up stuff like this....other than the insane folder. This kind of activity doesn't make any sense to those of us who grew up in the "let's get to work and make this country even greater" generation.
It's not funny, it's not cute, it's not clever, frankly.....it's very much like what passes as most of modern American culure: it's insane.
Or maybe it's just an example of idle hands working overtime in the Devil's workshop. Whatever.
But , what really sucked me in at first was the fact that the picture looks EXACTLY like my computer here in the Bat Cave!
