"Howard decided on Jan 30th that we really should get married. We called my children - all of which were delighted. We had not decided on a date (maybe sometime in the summer). Robb, my son living in Switzerland called us back two days later and said he was going to be in Orlando for a seminar on March 2nd - could we possibly pull it all together by the weekend of February 26th so he could be here.
I nearly fainted as we have a lot of friends here that would expect to be invited - we would not be allowed to "run away." Bottom line - My daughter, Melanie who lives here went into high gear and made it all happen beautifully with 75 guest - Robb came from Switzerland and brought me the most precious wedding gift (my 10 year old granddaughter), my son Mark came from Charlotte came and brought his whole family which included my beautiful granddaughters and his wife Lesha. My grandsons Wesley and Tanner were ring bearers. The only ones missing were Robb's wife Judith and my grandson Ari because of the cost for four to fly from Switzerland.
The most wonderful thing is that it was the first time in 20 years that my three children and I had been under the same roof. I had been telling them for years that I would love to have all of my children under the same roof before I died. They all laughed while here and said this was not a wish for me to die but for my happiness instead. So there you have the whole story.
