Betty Wells Poplin

As a result of our recent mailing, Obie got a call from Betty Wells Poplin's daughter, Marsha Brackett, informing us that Betty died in October 2004.

(Unfortunately, I don't have access to Betty's obituary. May she rest in peace. -Ed)

CHS 54 Celebration in Maryland

Actually it was a surprise 70th birthday party for our southern yankee Herb Jacobowitz. His wife Barbara decided that the theme should be Herb's Happy Days in the Central High School class of 54!

And, of course, CHS54.com photographers were there to bring you the action!

Letters from CHS54 friends were featured prominantly.

The letters were even read aloud to the party goers. Herb says they meant a lot to him!
And our reporter on the scene said all the attendees enjoyed them as well. (with the possible exception of the lady in the foreground who seems to have fallen asleep.)

Herb poses with the letters from his CHS friends.

Barbara used Herbs's "54 Snips and Cuts" picture to decorate the cake.

Herb and Barbara will be joining us this Fall for our group birthday celebration.
Hope all yaw'll are planning to attend!
