Larry Ray Price
Mr. Price, 70, of Charlotte passed away on Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail. Funeral services in celebration of his life will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. also at the church, with Pastor Mike Whitson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Price was born on December 2, 1935 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Ray and Dorothy Price. Sister, Kay Vives also preceded Mr. Price in death. Larry was a 1954 graduate of Central High School. He enjoyed photography in his spare time. He was the Wastewater Station Supervisor with the City of Charlotte for many years until retirement.
Survivors include his beloved wife of over 46 years, Frances Boone Price of Charlotte; sons, Jeffrey Price and wife, Crystal, and Rodney Price and wife, Millie; daughter, Karen Calloway and husband, Rick, all of Indian Trail; sisters, Lynn Martin and Gail Strawn of Charlotte; brother, Scott Price of Charlotte; and fourteen grandchildren.
