O. Summey, Jr. CHARLOTTE - John O. Summey, Jr. passed away on December
28th in Vicksburg, MS. He was born in Asheville, NC on March 29, 1936.
He graduated from Pfeiffer College with a bachelor's degree in
accounting and was a CPA in the banking industry for most of his career.
He is survived by his wife, Minta Summey of Charlotte, NC; daughter, J.
Kipp (Tim) Parrish of Charlotte, NC; son, John G. Summey of Charlotte,
NC; brother, Dan (Denise) Summey of Richmond, VA; sister, Anita Summey
of Saluda, NC; and three grandchildren. A small service will be held at
Saluda United Methodist Church at 132 Greenville St., Saluda, NC on
Saturday, January 4th, at 12 noon. After the service, his ashes will be
scattered by his family at his grandparent's burial site in Saluda, NC.
