CHS54.COM has moved HERE where Charlotte Central High School's graduates of 1954 now get together. That was a special class at a very special time in history; the likes of which will never be seen again. Ed Myers, aka Lee Shephard, is webmaster. Email is shephard@gmail.com

Barry Clark passing
It was with sadness that I read the message from Arleen Higgins, Barry Clark's sister, that Barry passed away this week. Here are excerpts from Arleen's email:
... "I wanted you and Barry’s classmates to know that he died Wednesday night in Sylva NC. He was 84. He was still living at The Hermitage" ...where he had been for the last ten years.
"He is survived by a son, Jon/Chapel Hill NC and by his daughter, Lindsey/Alexandria VA, his grandson, Taylor Clark/Chapel Hill and by me, his sister, Arleen Clark Higgins/Raleigh NC. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey and by his parents, J. B. and Eva Hayes Clark. Barry was a Naval officer serving on the carrier, The Intrepid and at The Pentagon. He was an announcer for the Voice of America in Washington DC and owned a public relations firm in Alexandria VA for many years."
Some CHS'54 classmates will remember Barry's little sister, Arleen.
